Wireless Wearable Locking System for the Elderly

This was designed as a final project for my Assistive Robotics course. The senior resident would have a wearble which would allow them to communicate with those who come to the door. The idea was to also have a camera in place that would be able to recognize visitors who are either on a whitelist or blacklist to expedite the process of letting vistiors through the front door.

I was in charge of designing and programming the mock-up shown in the video above. It uses two of Nordic's nRF24l01 chips to transmit audio in real time. I was able to implement a high enough sampling rate to prevent the voices from getting too distorted.
